John Sweeney

Managing Director

John Sweeney

John joined The Cordish Companies in 2023 as Managing Director, serving Cordish Living and Spark Coworking. As Managing Director, John leads corporate and field team members who are dedicated to providing an excellent experience to our residents and members alike.

Prior to joining The Cordish Companies, John has spent over fifteen years in the multifamily business in various field & regional positions where he oversaw notable lease-up projects for a large REIT.  From there John took on a leadership role as Director of Operations for a Private Equity firm where he oversaw all field and corporate operations for their Multifamily business. His experience with both large REITs and privately held firms has provided John with an innovative and diverse outlook on operations. John’s experience bringing new product to market, implementation of state-of-the-art prop-tech and leading team’s large teams to create organizational change is a passion that he brings to The Cordish Companies.

Emelyna Aurich

Emelyna Aurich is the Director of Property Management for The Cordish Companies’ Multifamily Development division, Cordish Living. She joined the Cordish team prior to the opening of their first residential building in 2015 and now oversees all leasing, resident services, and day-to-day operations of One Light, Two Light, and One Cardinal Way. Emelyna is vastly experienced across all areas of the multifamily industry, boasting over 18 years of experience in luxury, affordable, and senior living. She is an active member of the Apartment Association of Kansas City and is a licensed Missouri Real Estate Agent.

Scott Seeley

Senior Manager of Leasing & Development

Scott Seeley

Scott Seeley serves as the Senior Manager of Leasing and Development at The Cordish Companies’ Multifamily Development Division. He joined the Cordish team in January 2024, to lead leasing efforts for One Rangers Way in Arlington, Texas. With over a decade of expertise in luxury multifamily lease-ups, project management, and customer service gained from his tenure at a publicly traded real estate investment trust, Scott brings a wealth of experience to his role. In his capacity as Senior Manager, he oversees development phase leasing operations, assists prospective residents throughout their apartment search journey, and cultivates strong community relationships.

With a passion for impactful experiences and a hospitality mindset, Nicholle joined the Cordish Living team in 2023 as Director of Residential Marketing. Her previous experience includes multifamily and retail marketing, venue and event management, employee engagement, and corporate brand management and communications. She is a proud Kansas City native, and thrilled to be engaging with new communities as she leads marketing efforts for the expansion of the Cordish Living portfolio.

As the PR & Events Specialist for all Cordish Living properties, Emilie plans and produces email marketing campaigns for residents and future residents. In addition, she works with local businesses on creating partnerships for the Cordish Living Resident Perks Program. Emilie graduated from Park University in Kansas City with a degree in Multimedia Journalism and Public Relations. You can find Emilie around each community always trying to capture the perfect photos, assisting with resident events, or her favorite – playing with residents’ dogs!
